USING THE 2021 PANTONE COLORS OF THE YEAR AT HOME
This year, more than any in recent history, has required that our home be a safe haven from the outside world. Now, if only I could get this haven to clean itself… but I digress.
Because of these circumstances though, it has allowed us to look at our homes differently, use spaces in new ways and day-dream about the changes we would love to incorporate into all the little nooks and crannies you never really had the time to see before. In these next series of blog posts, the hope is that some (or all?) of these ideas will inspire you to see the unending possibilities we have available to us, which can help us to transform our spaces; even if it is just one throw pillow or painted wall at a time!
HOW TO USE THE PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR - Ultimate Gray (17-5104) & Illuminating (13-0647)

Personally, yellow used to scare me. Is it too “lemony” or is there just too much “mustard” but when you look closer, there are some amazing ways to add this super cheerful color into your space. Start small or dive right into some of the bolder choices shown below. We can always use a little more "happy" in our lives!

“The union of an enduring Ultimate Gray with the vibrant yellow Illuminating expresses a message of positivity supported by fortitude. Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this is a color combination that give us resilience and hope. We need to feel encouraged and uplifted; this is essential to the human spirit.” – Leatrice Eiseman, ED of The Pantone Color Institute
