MOM REVIEW: EVERBAMBOO, DEODORIZER/DEHUMIDIFIER PRODUCTS
PRODUCT REVIEWED ON: OCTOBER 10, 2017
PRICE WHEN REVIEWED: $8-$10 ON WWW.EVERBAMBOO.COM
Every household has areas with unwanted smells. Ewwwwww. When it comes down to it, you can either mask the smell with fragrances or try to eliminate them. I don’t use air fresheners in my home so most times, I will try to do a thorough cleaning of the stinky area or tuck a box of baking soda close by to help deodorize.
So when I told about Everbamboo, 100% natural and eco friendly products that could absorb moisture and neutralize odor, I was excited to get them a try. I obtained several samples from www.everbamboo.com for review in my home.
HOW WE TESTED
I had several areas in my home that could use some ‘refreshing’.
First up was the kitchen garbage/recycling bin pullout where I placed a bin deodorizer+dehumidifier packet. This came with a handy adhesive velcro fastener, which I applied to the side of my cabinet, as I have no garbage can lid. Then the packet attached to the velcro strip.
The room deodorizer+dehumidifier packet, I placed into my mudroom closet. There are a lot of shoes in here and is also where we put our workout bags. This closet definitely could use some improvement in the smell department and we try to keep this door closed at all times!
Lastly, I placed a fridge + freezer deodorizer packet in our downstairs fridge. This is our extra fridge and sometimes food gets forgotten in here. Oops!
MILK AND CONFETTI MOM VERDICT
My household odour problems were eliminated, rather than masking them in a fragrance.
Available in many different sizes and shapes to best match what kind of area or item you want to deodorize.
Everbamboo is a 100% natural product and sustainable product that is eco-friendly.
For my household smells, the deodorizers were not a quick fix. With my very unscientific daily sniff test, odor did linger for about a week after placing the products in their respective area before eliminating the smells.
There is some maintenance to be done with the packets once you start using them.
The products need to be reactivated in direct sunlight outside every two months for about 2-3 hours on each side. The website does have an e-mail reminder which I signed up for to help me remember this task.
